HEY BOB....I met you on the Ferry back to Cancun. My hub and I sat behind you, and you and I talked / gave each other business cards.
So...I have major jet lag today...and thought I'd quick try to remember all the restaurants you liked: and my jet lag is making me brain dead.
And of course...though I've had your card in my hand all day: now I can't find it to retrieve your email. So...I hope this finds its way to you.
I remember Lola Valentino...and 2 restaurants in the colonias I can't remember...but one is Cuban...and the other starts with a V, I think.
Anyway: if you have time, can you send me your top 10 again? I know you liked Olivia's and Mango...
We liked the vibe of sitting at Ballyhoo, looking at the boats, and activity, and catching a sunset there: and I loved their "Mixed Grill.'
And I liked Muelle 7 too: their coconut shrimp hit the spot for me. I was disappointed with Brasos...Brisa had the best quacamole. Loved the Mango JalapeƱo Margarita at Mango: along with their chicken enchiladas with green sauce: just perfect.
It was so nice meeting you. You were so generous in spirit and conversation. Thank you. That's one of my top 10 things about Isla: meeting the people. It's like a small town, homey connection that you make there. Isla is like the "Cheers Bar": where everyone knows your name: and everyone's glad you came.
Blessings, Bob.
Sincerely, Mary Knox. My email is : knobhill13@aol.com
