In 1987 Sandy decided, while drinking tequila
with the Cerris in our jacuzzi tub one evening, that because Barbara Cerri had
never been to her prom that we would have a "grown up" prom. It was
called "AS TIME GOES BY." Check out the photos and you will believe
it. Time certainly has gone by.
We rented a dance hall with a polished wooden
floor in Hanover, Massachusetts on Route 53 and sent out the invitations.
Seventy-five couples also thought that it was a pretty good idea. Many came in
limos. All dressed in gowns and tuxedos . . . of course. YES!
We had a live rock and roll band! Photos were
taken by a professional, Allan Sylvester's sister, who was wearing her dyed-black
wedding dress, signifying possibly that the wedding did not work out. The prom
album is awesome.
One by one we pulled names out of a hat for
the King and Queen's Court. Toward the end of the night the female songstress
finally put her hand into my Tombstone Arizona cowboy hat and pulled out the
name of the couple who would be king and queen for the night. It was John and
Barbara Cerri.

I rate this as one of our very best parties
ever. Any comments? Especially if you were there. Do you still look the same as
you did back then? Yup, me too.
What was your favorite Club Bacon activity?
The canoe trips, the family baseball games, the Mexican pool parties, the
Polish Picnic, the dance fiestas, vacation time together on la Isla Mujeres?
Tequila shots anyone?
